Our Story
In 1973, Jody Allen founded Joanne M. Allen & Associates, providing trusted accounting services to homeowner associations throughout the Palm Springs and Coachella Valley region. Over the next three decades, the firm built a strong reputation for integrity, accuracy, and community service across Southern California.
In 2005, Doug and Lee Bothe acquired the company, continuing its tradition of excellence and expanding its services. Five years later, in 2010, they rebranded the firm as Community Association Financial Services (CAFS), reflecting its growing role as a trusted financial management partner for HOA communities throughout the region.
After 52 remarkable years, the torch has been proudly passed to the next generation: Lorena and Robert Sterling. As a veteran-owned and female-managed company, CAFS honors the legacy built by those who came before while bringing modern technology, personalized service, and strategic financial expertise to communities across Coachella Valley and Southern California.
